In celebration of Will Eisner Week, Sophie Yanow, CCS fellow and cartoonist from Northern California whose work fluctuates between the macro and the micro, will talk about her approach to nonfiction, autobiography, and poetry in comics making. Will Eisner (1917-2005) was America’s most influential comic artist, an artist who changed comic books, created comic strips, and is recognized at the “Father of the Graphic Novel.”
