Robyn Chapman has a long history with CCS, from our founding days! She is currently an editor at First Second, but she also makes her own mini comics when she has time and runs The Tiny Report, a chronicle of the comics micro-press movement to help bring awareness to the books this movement gets published.
She was also one of the very first librarians at the Schulz Library here at The Center for Cartoon Studies. She makes the trek back to CCS every so often to work with current students, bringing her enthusiasm and knowledge to share. This year, she is coming back on campus for Industry Day.
She has also shared her comics knowledge in Drawing Comics Lab: 52 Exercises on Characters, Panels, Storytelling, Publishing, and Professional Practices. You can also get her mini comics, prints, and The Tiny Report volumes in her shop. Her most recent mini comic was Twin Bed, set in New York, about a relationship told entirely through a top down view of their tiny bed. Hence, the amazing package design.
