Lucy Knisley ′09 has been a prolific cartoonist. Graduating from The Center for Cartoon Studies in 2009, she has published eight books in the last 10 years, most of them in the last 5:

- 2014—An Age of License (Fantagraphics)
- 2015—Displacement (Fantagraphics)
- 2016—Something New (First Second)
- 2017—Margaret and the Moon (Knopf Books for Young Readers), illustrator
- 2018–Love, Penelope (Amulet Books), illustrator
- 2019—Kid Gloves (First Second)
- 2019—You Are New (children’s book)
She has received an ALA award and been nominated for an Eisner:
- American Library Association Alex Award winner: Relish
- Eisner Award nominee: Displacement
