For the many The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) students who don’t have their own cars, Advance Transit can be a lifeline to the shopping plazas, the Dartmouth libraries, restaurants, appointments, and more.
FREE to all riders and operating on weekdays, Advance Transit (AT) buses serve the downtown areas of White River Junction, Wilder, Norwich, Hanover, Lebanon, and West Lebanon – with a few daily runs to Canaan and Enfield too.
How to catch AT
Advance Transit’s Orange Route bus picks up across from the Colodny Building. Catch the Green Route across the river at the Town Hall. Both buses stop at Kilton Library, a transfer point to the Red Route (for the shopping plazas and downtown Lebanon).
Riders can plan their trips and see their bus in real time at AdvanceTransit.com or on the iOS or Android app!
Bikes on the bus!
Check out this video on how to load your bike on the bus. Each AT bus can carry two bicycles on its front rack.
Annual DONUTS trip
CCS and Vital Communities co-host a short student trip to Hanover on Advance Transit each year – for Lou’s famed donuts and a Dartmouth’s Baker Library tour with Jarad Greene (CCS ’17)! Did you miss the trip this fall? Read about our winter 2017 trip here and sign up for the trip during fall 2019 orientation.
