Our esteemed pal Jason Lutes, teacher of Cartoon Studio at The Center for Cartoon Studies, is ready for you this Free Comic Book Day. Drawn and Quarterly is providing the first issue of Jason’s Berlin. This free issue will include bonus features such as an interview with Jason as he looks back over all his hard work.
Twenty years in the making, the final volume of this three-part series will be released this Fall. Berlin takes place during the twilight of the Weimar Republic. Characters include communists, Nazis, Jews, musicians, folks from all walks of life as the nation turns to fascism.
Free Comic Book day is the first Saturday of May each year. This May 5, head to your comic book store early to get a copy of Berlin!
