With the Release of Off Season (Drawn and Quarterly), James Sturm is touring the country. On Saturday, March 23, you can see James at the Virginia Festival of the Book. Off Season is about a couple divided by the politics of 2016— and the disorienting months that followed the election.
Virginia Festival of the Book is holding its 25th show in 2019. Produced by the Virginia Humanities, the festival offers 250, mostly free, programs. James will be on a panel from 2–3:30 about graphic novels and telling tales for all ages with Brooklyn Allen (Lumberjanes) and Ken Krimstein (The Three Escapes of Hannah Arendt). The panel, “The Power of Graphic Novels,” will be moderated by Warren Craghead.
