Safer Places
Short Story Collection
Safer Places is a comics collection of eighteen short stories built around themes of memory, isolation, liminal spaces, and small magic. The goal throughout the year was to settle on a sustainable process, create stories that work best as comics, and to experiment with medium and form.
The stories range in length from two pages to thirty-four, and most can be pulled-out into individual mini-comics, or perhaps expanded upon later. The collection as it stands, though, is meant to be its own discrete object, ideally read in the order and format presented in this thesis.
