The newest book from Julie Delporte, 2011-12 CCS fellow: This Woman’s Work. Julie’s autobiographical comic, coming out from Drawn + Quarterly in January 2019, looks at her memories and cultural consumption in journal-like entires that explore her struggles with femininity and womanhood. Though a very personal exploration of womanhood, femininity, and creativity, she also reflects on the conversations women have with themselves, searching for answers in the #MeToo era. Julie is the creator of Everywhere Antennas, which uses not autobiographical diary entries to show the portrait of a woman struggling to find a balance between the demands of technology and modern lie with her need for meaningful relationships and work.
