Dan Nott’s ′18 thesis, Hidden Systems: A Graphic History of Water, Wires, Waste, and the Web, is about how the infrastructure of our world works. He graduated in 2018, and less than a year later, it has been picked up by Gina Gagliano at the new Random House Graphic!
Dan saw how the world we live in is stitched together by systems we often can’t see and know very little about. And because our lives depend on these systems, he went to work at revealing the surprisingly rich and intricate world for all to know. As Gagliano puts it:
“Behind the scenes and through the pipes and in the wires—what happens in all those places?”
Random House Graphic is a new imprint of the Random House Children’s Group. The book is being published as YA, but falls squarely into the All Ages bracket. You can look forward to this book in Spring 2021.
