For the fifth consecutive year, Frank Santoro has held the Comic Workbook Composition Competition. He defines the layouts for each page and then a bunch of cartoonists go nuts making comics using the layouts. Then he sorts though them and winners get prizes. This year, two alums of The Center for Cartoon Studies participated: Iris Yan ′13 and Simon Reinhardt ′14.
Iris Yan created “Teaching English in Taiwan.” Iris is a Brazilian-Chinese cartoonist and a professionally trained aura reader.
Simon Reinhardt created “Slow Theft,” which won an honorable mention. Simon is the co-editor of Dog City.
