Sean Knickerbocker’s (′12) debut graphic novel, Killbuck, is now out through One Percent Press, which is run by JP Coovert. This coming-of-age story is set in impoverished rural America. It is 96 black-and-white pages at 8.5×5.5 inches.
Debuting at SPX, Sean participated in the “Troubled Teenagers and Modern Times” panel with Mardou (Sky in Stereo), Charles Forsman (The End of the Fucking World, I Am Not Okay with This), Melissa Mendes (Lou, The Weight), and Nate Powell (Any Empire, Swallow Me Whole). Moderated by Craig Fischer, they discussed how they realistically and empathetically create modern teens in their stories. You can watch the panel on YouTube.
