This fall, The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) will host a series of low-cost ($5), 90-minute webinars that will be open to the public. All proceeds will go to sponsor zine fests around the USA that CCS supports. The webinars will feature alums, instructors, and visiting artists. Here is the lineup for fall 2024:

Writing Believable Characters with Brenna Thummler

Join graphic novelist Brenna Thummler in learning how to craft believable characters! This lecture will dive into the development, design, and dialogue of authentic protagonists and antagonists. Attendees will participate in an interview-style writing activity to create their own main (or side) characters, and have the chance to ask questions about Brenna’s books and techniques!
