CCS’s Summer Cartoon Club is all the fun of our Saturday Cartoon Club, plus summer, multiplied by five! If you’re at least 9 years old and want to spend a week or two drawing comics, this class is for you! Supplies are limited to pens, pencils, and paper, making this a very accessible course!
Classes are led by none other than CCS’s Daryl Seitchik and Wayne Carter.
Daryl (she/they) is a cartoonist and teacher currently living in Vermont. They graduated with a B.A. in Art History and Visual Art from Barnard College in 2012, and received an MFA in cartooning from The Center for Cartoon Studies in 2018. She has taught comics workshops for children, teens, and adults at schools, libraries, and museums all throughout New England, and has enjoyed expanding her reach through virtual classes on Zoom. Daryl was nominated for an Ignatz Award for Promising New Talent in 2014, and their first graphic novel, EXITS (Koyama Press, 2016) and was nominated for an Eisner Award. Her clients include: The New Yorker, Harper Collins, Princeton Architectural Press, Changing Perspectives, Resist!, and many other publications.
Wayne Carter is a cartoonist living in Vermont. Wayne spends time teaching comics to teens and young children in the Upper Valley, working on standalone mini comics, and creating illustrations. Wayne is an alum of The Center for Cartoon Studies and is currently an artist in residence for the national historical park service at Saint-Gaudens.

Refund policy: Tuition is refundable up until 2 weeks prior to the class. Tuition is non-refundable after that date and non-transferrable.
