With the release of the Berlin: City of Light (Drawn and Quarterly), Jason Lutes is out and about this fall. On November 10, Jason will be at the Portland Book Festival. Then he back to the east coast to appear at the NY Comics Symposium on November 13. Jason’s trilogy Berlin, now compiled in a single volume, is a historical fiction graphic novel about the decline of the Weimar Republic and the rise of Nazism in Germany.

The Portland Book Festival (formerly called Worstock) has events all weekend with plenty of vendors and local food trucks. They also host writing workshops. Passes are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, but that includes access to all their events and a $5 book voucher. Attendees 17 and under get in free!
The New York Comics and Picture-story Symposium
November 13
The New York Comics and Picture-story Symposium has events running from August through December at Parsons School of Design. Jason will speak about completing his two-decade project.

Jason will also be at Elliot Bay Book Company in Seattle, WA, on November 8. Then on November 12, he will be at Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn, NY.
