White River Junction, Vermont – The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) announces its inaugural class exhibition opening, Saturday May 19th, 2pm at The Center for Cartoon Studies. Commencement Ceremony: Saturday, May 19th at 1pm in Lyman Point Park

Reception and Exhibition: Saturday, May 19th, 2-5pm

Location: The Center for Cartoon Studies – Gallery 94 South Main Street, White River Junction, Vermont.

The exhibition will run Saturday May 19-Saturday June 16, open to the public Monday thru Saturday 10am – 4pm. On exhibit, eighteen senior thesis projects, including preview pages of completed and works in progress, which include graphic novels, short stories, visual narratives, and mini comic series. “The pioneer class — the first EVER through CCS doors! — are enjoying a real harvest: CCS’s first, their final in this rarified environment.

As part of their graduation process, each has to complete their thesis project, and what I’ve seen thus far demonstrates a remarkable effort, ” says Steve Bissette, CCS faculty.
