The State Board voted affirmatively on the recommendation that The Center for Cartoon Studies be issued a Certificate of Degree-Granting Authority to offer MFA degrees in cartooning.

PULITZER PRIZE WINNER ART SPIEGELMAN

CCS will be hosting an evening reception with Art Spiegelman, creator of MAUS, A SURVIVOR'S TALE, and the recently released book, IN THE SHADOW OF NO TOWERS. Spiegelman is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential cartoonists of our time. The reception takes place on Thursday, November 18, 8-10pm, Hotel Coolidge, White River Junction, Vermont.

Also taking place during Spiegelman's visit to the Upper Valley is a lecture hosted by Dartmouth and The Center for Cartoon Studies. The lecture takes place at 4pm at the Dartmouth Moore-Filene Auditorium.
