Inkubator

At this time the Inkubator is an affordable shared studio space that will foster community, maintain connection between CCS and alumni, and support continued peer-to-peer learning and collaborative projects.

Lab Access

Lab Access Extended Over Summer After Graduation

Colodny Building and CCS Lab access is automatically available after graduation to alumni for the duration of the summer, until August 25. Mailboxes will be emptied at this time as well. Senior studios must be cleaned out by the last day of spring classes.

Optional Alumni Annual CCS Lab Access Plan:

CCS alumni can gain unlimited access to the CCS Lab, including: Use of computers on site, printers, scanners, drill, cutter, screen-printing etc.

• Annual fee is $150. Purchase from Jess Abston in the administrative office.
• Term for lab fee: One year from August 25
• Some dates are subject to limited or no access given course work, end of semester production crunch times, demos, etc.
• Dates will be posted in the facility when possible and/or on the Alumni board.
• Existing copy/print balances will transfer to the new lab fee year.
• 1000 black and white copies/prints is included with the yearly lab fee.

Audit Courses

Alumni may audit one course for non-credit/non-grade for a fee of $300 per course. Contact registration@cartoonstudies.org to register and make payment arrangements. Schedules and courses are posted on the Intranet (cartoonstudies.org/intranet). Space is limited, so try to register as soon as possible.

Courses available include: Publication Workshop, Reading & Writing, Survey of the Drawn Story, and Drawing Workshop.

Schulz Library Membership

Alumni have ongoing access to The Schulz Library during its operation hours. Alumni who have paid the annual lab fee also have borrowing privileges, and may check out five items at a time with a loan period of two weeks. All overdue items must be returned before new ones may be checked out, and all items must be returned at the end of each semester.
