Cartoon Club and Cartoon Collective

The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) Cartoon Club (ages 9-13) and Cartoon Collective (ages 13+) are community outreach programs of CCS. Programming includes Saturday Morning Cartoon Club in the fall and spring, Cartoon Collective for teens, summer workshops and more!

Summer Cartoon Club 2023: In-person

CCS’s Summer Cartoon Club is all the fun of our Saturday Cartoon Club, plus summer, multiplied by five! If you’re at least 9 years old and want to spend a week or two drawing comics, this is the class for you!

Classes are led by none other than CCS’s Daryl Seitchik, whose work has been featured in The New Yorker and nominated for the Eisner and Ignatz awards, Daryl leads students through a week of cartooning theory with a focus on narrative and illustration. Supplies are limited to pens, pencils, and paper making this a very accessible course!

IN-PERSON SUMMER CARTOON CLUB (9-13) : Monday-Friday, July 24-28, 9AM-Noon • $225

The Summer Cartoon Collective 2023: Online

The Summer Cartoon Collective is designed to reach developing middle and high school cartoonists who find themselves falling between our Cartoon Club and College-aged programs.

Online classes are led by none other than CCS’s Daryl Seitchik, whose work has been featured in The New Yorker and nominated for the Eisner and Ignatz awards, Daryl leads students through a week of cartooning theory with a focus on narrative and illustration. Supplies are limited to pens, pencils, and paper making this a very accessible course!

ONLINE SUMMER CARTOON COLLECTIVE (13-16) : Monday-Friday, July 31-August 4, 10AM-Noon • $200
