This exhibit showcases a single 24-page chapter from the book Berlin: City of Lights by cartoonist and CCS faculty member Jason Lutes. Along with the finished original art, the exhibit features source material, initial thumbnail drafts of the story, and preliminary sketches. This chapter was published in November 2010 as a comic book and will appear in 2013 as part of Berlin: City of Lights, the final volume in Lutes’ trilogy about the German city. Together with the previous two volumes (Berlin: City of Stones and Berlin: City of Smoke), City of Lights follows a variety of characters as they make their way through a metropolis that has fallen under the growing shadow of National Socialism.
